About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Business Development with a focus on the domestic oil and gas sector. The successful candidate will be a key player in the executive management team, working closely with the CEO to drive the company's business development strategy and grow its domestic asset base. Responsibilities include defining and executing the business development strategy, formulating targeted engagement with potential partners, sourcing new business opportunities, and overseeing the entire transaction lifecycle. The role also involves promoting the company as a preferred buyer, collaborating with internal teams to vet deals, and managing the due diligence process to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
Candidates must have an extensive and established network in the US oil and gas industry, be a proactive self-starter with strong communication, negotiation, leadership, and management skills. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, with a minimum of 15-20 years of business development and transaction experience in the oil and gas sector. Experience in managing a land team and collaborating with engineering, geology, and finance teams is essential, with a proven track record of driving business and revenue growth. Familiarity with transaction economics, deal metrics, and returns analysis is necessary, and experience in O&G marketing and reservoir engineering is preferred. The role demands a candidate who is a collaborative team player and is willing to travel as needed.
