What you’ll do:
- Lead system-level quality engineering and delivery in a cross-functional mobile engineering team to deliver high quality solutions that improve outcomes for our customers
- Lead the test approach, automated testing and where appropriate, manual testing of complex systems
- Lead from the front when appropriate, and from behind to grow more junior engineers
- Own stability of environments, automated tests and CI/CD tooling
- Elevate quality and security posture of applications in the wider Outcome Team
- Elevate quality and security posture of the Capital One Android and iOS mobile apps, working across multiple engineering teams
What we’re looking for:
- A hands-on technical leader with strong skills in programming and a broad background in technology. The primary languages of our mobile quality engineers are Kotlin and Swift - the ideal candidate will already be adept in these languages in the context of writing automated tests.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to read the room and adapt style to situation and audience
- Collaborative team player who can take people both inside and outside the team on a journey, to solve significant problems
- A desire to have proactive positive impact on people and systems
