What we do:
The Lead Program Manager is responsible for the management of technical projects with cross-functional teams as well as projects within functions. This position requires an experienced professional with expertise in delivering the highest quality products on schedule, within budget. The position works alongside R&D Heads and with fellow Technical Program Managers to drive the integration & development of complex Air Vehicle Hardware & Software, on cost and schedule.
This position will be required to work on-site 5 days a week.
What you can do:
- Develop, maintain, and communicate the scope, budget, schedule, and product development activities to all collaborators
- Monitor program schedule commitments and direct appropriate personnel of possible impacts(s) or change(s) which includes arranging, attending and chairing program reviews, technical coordination meetings and design reviews as required
- Own execution and completion of multiple projects in parallel
- Identify resource requirements and highlight gaps across various stages for all projects
- Set goals, track deliverables, identify risk and drive mitigation across all stages of the project
- Own report-outs for all projects, highlighting status, risks, mitigation, and opportunities across all levels of management
- Work collaboratively with collaborators on all stages of the project: Requirements & concept development, engineering integration & design, manufacturing, testing, qualification, certification & transition to production
- Support Supply Chain with management of external suppliers
- Manage roadmap of projects working within the framework of the overall program
- May require up to 10% of domestic and international travel
- Other duties as assigned
What you can contribute:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems or Software Engineering or another related field required; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a technical program/project management role (an equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered for this role)
- Experience in product development & qualification
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing product delivery best practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective communications with internal & external customers, and senior and executive management
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Ability to work cross‐functionally and influence key collaborators to drive alignment
- Proactive delivery of communication
- Proficient in Product Life-cycle Management and Configuration Management tools
- Proficient in MS Project, Doors, Jira and/or other project management tools
- Must have the ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraints
You may also be able to contribute:
- Experience with electric propulsion air or ground vehicles preferred
