Overview
Marketing Technology Services supports the Marketing Business unit with their IT needs and also has the Platform Engineering team for the Adobe Experience Manager which is an anchor platform at NFCU. As an intern in our team, the person will be able to work as a Front-End Developer, Backend Developer or a AEM system engineer. As an enterprise anchor platform, we support business application product teams to develop websites on the platform. We also perform engineering duties related to the platform. The Summer intern based on their background, interest and future career vision can support the team in learning the work in one of these tracks.
Front End/Backend Cloud Developer: As a AEM cloud developer with front end focus, they will be supporting the team developing a set of reusable components using technologies using CSS and SASS framework, JQuery and Javascript, using NPM (Node package manager) and node.js. As a AEM Cloud Developer with backend focus, they will develop reusable components and services using Java, Junit, Apache Sling framework etc.
Project example:
Develop a single page application which allows a user to get information and services about NFCU branches in an interactive user experience.
Implement a AEM based component that allows a user to update user profile and the services they are enrolled with NFCU.
AEM System Engineer: As a AEM platform system engineer, the engineer will be supporting in the day-to-day activity of managing the platform which includes SSL certificate updates, setting up permission for accessing the environments, manager users, monitoring the logs for detecting and improving system efficiency, supporting the DevSecOps build and deployment pipelines.
Project examples:
Integrating Neoload based performance testing scripts with the DevOps pipeline.
Automation of User management and user review process.
The Summer Associate Program is a 12-week internship program beginning in May 2024 and ending in August 2024. Students will work on impactful projects and meaningful work during their internship. To qualify for this position, applicants must be currently pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university and have an anticipated graduation date of December 2024 or later.
Responsibilities
Integrate digital data to develop, configure, model, and document next generation software applications
Apply engineering principles to the design and enhancement of systems
Document new system components, or modifications to existing components
Ensure the security and integrity of system and product solutions.
Develop and conduct code reviews with peers to ensure each increment adheres to original version as designed for the user or Process Definition Document to ensure highest quality standards.
Participate in daily scrums to advance automation, and communicate innovation progress and/or obstacles.
Assist with new software application development to automate and orchestrate across different platforms, continuous integration servers, and tools in support of business needs
Perform research, procurement, deployment and configuration of systems
Present clear, organized & concise information to audiences to enable business decisions
Create proof-of-concepts to demonstrate viability of solutions under consideration
Develop/recommend changes to improve usability of digital content, functionality, interactivity, and usability of site(s) to management
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelors/Master’s degree with majors in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems.
Good knowledge on Web development technologies and framework with an enthusiasm to learn new programming languages and methodologies.
Verbal and written communication

Database and presentation software
Research, analytical, and problem-solving
Exercise initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisions.
Problem solving, troubleshooting and resolving technical problems
