We're looking for a highly motivated candidate that will work on a team that develops state-of-the-art communications systems for aircraft routers that support multiple ways (Gatelink Cellular, AoIP, SATCOM and IPSec VPN) of connecting the aircraft to the ground and the airlines in their pursuit of optimizing operational efficiency, improving safety and reducing operational and maintenance costs. These state-of-the-art embedded software solutions are primarily for our Airbus (IMO and FOMAX) and Boeing (Gateway and Core Network) customers. This role will initially focus primarily on our Boeing products.
What YOU will do:- You will conduct design, development, integration, implementation and testing of our embedded software in C++, C, Ada and Python on Linux OS for our connectivity products.
- You will work as an Agile team member with remote and global teams in France and India.
- You will actively participate in documentation updates, Peer reviews, Agile sprint reviews, User story refinement and demos.
- You will participate in formal run for score and software release activities.
- You will participate in root cause investigations for complex issues seen internally and by the customer.
- You will support the bidding and estimation of future projects and efforts.
- You will support program and customer meetings as requested.

Education & Experience:- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

Skills You Must Have:- Embedded software development experience in Linux OS environment.
- Experience coding in C++, C and Python.
- Experience with test failure analysis and troubleshooting.
- Experience with project scope estimation and bidding.
Skills We Value:- Atlassian Suite knowledge (JIRA and Confluence in particular).
- Experience with DO-178B/C.
- Experience in test driven development (TDD).
- Robot testing framework.
- Experience using Agile methods.
- Experience with configuration control of documentation, test artifacts and environment setups.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
