Software Architect (d/f/m) for Aircraft Connectivity Systems
in the area of Cabin Connectivity and Wifi Systems.

The Airbus Cabin & Cargo Electronics Design Offices are responsible for the cabin and its systems in all Airbus aircraft. We design and develop according to market requirements and support the end product until it is put into operation.
Focus of the work is on connectivity solutions for Single Aisle and Long Range. For cabin and cargo systems, they serve as a gateway to various communication interfaces to the Internet and Airbus Ground infrastructures and services. On top they provide various services for the connected systems, such as an app / virtual machine hosting platform, a central data broker and services in connection with central avionic systems. The work is very varied due to the wide range of possible uses and interfaces of the backbones and the short lifecycles of connectivity standards.
Your Location
You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Experience the special flair of Hamburg in your spare time where vibrant cosmopolitan culture meets nautic legacy.

Your Tasks & Accountabilities
Design software product line components and architectures based on microservices for flexible usage within aircraft connectivity systems
Define software features and requirements for the system platform and align implementation with agile release trains
Ensure reliable and scalable end-to-end infrastructure with the ground software teams
Preparation of trade-off studies and evaluation of proposed solutions in the field of system and software functions
Support the agile Product Managers, Release Train Engineers and overall System Architects with the definition and alignment of solutions
Contribute to the refinement and prioritization of the product backlog and synchronization with the requirement baseline
Your Boarding Pass
You hold a Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science
You have knowledge in software and system design
You bring experience in Agile Safe methodologies for product development (e.g. as Product Owner)
Preferably you have knowledge in Requirement-based Engineering (RbE) and Model-based System Engineering (MbSE)
Knowledge of the following technical disciplines is appreciated: mobile telecommunications technologies, WiFi technologies, IoT and/or avionic systems, virtualization solutions and IT protocols
You bring experience with validation & verification of software
You show strongcommunication skills and you are a team player willing to learn on the one side and being assertive on the other side
Fluently spoken and written English. German language skills would be a plus
