Job Description Qualifications:
Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Mid-Level or Experienced Quality Engineer to join Total Quality in multiple locations. (Major Boeing sites)
Position Responsibilities:
- Represents Quality function on team activities to integrate contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation.
- Provides Quality interpretation of requirements.
- Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for small programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.
- Conducts capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities.
- Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.
- Performs analysis, tests and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
- Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances.
- Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Recommends corrective actions to address non-conformances.
- Performs benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.
- Works under general direction.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location(s).
Basic Qualifications (Required):
- Bachelors of Science (or greater) from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry, or other technical degree
- 3+ years’ experience in a quality job role
- 3+ years’ experience developing/managing metrics and RCCA
- 3+ years general experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, and Word
Preferred Qualifications (Desired):
- Level 4: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Certified Quality Engineering experience
- Production and Certification experience
- Experienced in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles
- Experience developing & delivering presentations to management
- Experience performing data analysis
- Experience working or inspecting non-conformance work orders
- Experience with Nonconformance Management
Typical Education & Experience:
Level 3- Mid-level- Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Level 4-Experienced- Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Relocation:
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. (Basic relocation is offered to eligible internal candidates.)
Travel:
Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Summary pay range:
Mid Level (3)- $88,400 - $119,600
Experienced (4)- $108,800 - $147,200
