Digital Turbine is seeking a Lead Frontend Engineer to join our team and be an important part in building its next generation of products. You will work closely with a team and help develop and deliver high quality web based UI solutions that will help drive our business to new levels. Your globally distributed, full stack team will focus on building well designed and efficient web-based architectures to help our business operations move forward with new features and capabilities. Our teams are organized into agile, cross-functional teams that cover the full software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities of the Lead Frontend Engineer:
- Provide technical leadership across our organization and provide guidance on technical solutions
- Work closely with a small team of engineers on a daily basis
- Able to work autonomously to solve technical challenges
- Provide guidance and mentorship to other engineers growing in their careers
- Develop, design, participate in code reviews, and ensure overall quality of software
- Leverage and implement industry best practices to maximize software development performance, efficiency, and quality
- Collaborate with other teams as needed (design, backend engineering, devops, product mgmt, QA) for maximum effectiveness
- Provide application support as needed
Requirements of the Lead Frontend Engineer:
- 7+ years of software development experience
- Excellent knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Expert in micro front ends
- Excellent knowledge of SASS or other CSS preprocessors
- Excellent knowledge of Vue.js and Vuex or ability to articulate concepts from comparable modern day JavaScript frameworks and libraries (e.g., React, Angular)
- Working experience on Nuxt based applications and single page applications
- Experience working with UX teams to create excellent and efficient UI experiences
- Expert knowledge of frontend compilation tools (e.g., Webpack, Vite, Rollup)
- Consistent usage of unit testing and solid understanding of quality assurance practices and Automation engineering strategies
- Excellent knowledge of modern-day cloud platforms (e.g., AWS or GCP)
- Experience working in agile engineering environments (e.g., Scrum)
- Expert in designing and building high performing enterprise scale Web systems
- Ability to work independently, collaborating with a team to build software solutions, and leading our software organization to new heights in quality and scalability
- Ability to effectively communicate software solutions to other established leads and ability to implement well designed solutions
Preferred Experience of the Lead Frontend Engineer:
- Knowledge of developing and working with serverless concepts and stacks
- Experience working with Infrastructure as Code technologies
- Experience working with Ad Tech
- Knowledge of automation tools like Cypress
