Job Summary:
Rfoodx Key Account Managers are persistent professionals who make sales and marketing calls to doctors’ offices, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities to promote our Rfoodx prescriptions as Food is Medicine. It is the Rfoodx Key Account Managers’ job to present the overall benefit program of the Food is Medicine initiative, the Rfoodx program including our proprietary portal, and persuade them to prescribe the food prescription to their eligible patients.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Educating medical staff about the CalAim benefits and driving demand for Rfoodx through clinical selling and education to clinics and hospitals.
Build and execute territory strategy and account-specific plans to drive physician and patient identification, market development, and brand awareness of Rfoodx and the Food is Medicine initiative.
Continuously assess sales opportunities within markets and accounts to maintain and grow the business.
Prioritize and manage resources, activities, and time to optimize access to and develop accounts with the most sales potential. This includes lunch and learns with staff, dinner educational programs, and sponsoring local professional chapter meetings like the Diabetes Educators, Nurse Practitioners and others.
Build individual account plans for key accounts and physicians to maximize sales results.
Build and maintain relationships with physicians by maximizing their time through pre-call planning, leveraging insights to customize a call plan, and conducting post-call analysis to refine and enhance their approach.
Collaboration with members of the marketing team and other internal stakeholders to help ensure access and that logistics are in place to ensure patients can benefit from Nutritional Assessments, Nutritional Counseling, and Medically Tailored Meals
Partner externally with key accounts and physicians to drive patient identification through market development and physician education; develop a territory strategy to retain customers.
Demonstrate the highest standards of integrity and compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act
Performs other duties as assigned by the company
Additional Information
Mid to heavy travel required
Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance

Location: California (Orange County)
Salary: $75,000 - $100,000 (based on experience) + bonus and or commission
Reports to: Sr. VP of National Business Development Brian Baker
Required Skills/Experience:
Medical or pharmaceutical sales experience preferred
Sound knowledge of health/medical terminology and legislation
Demonstrates a robust comprehension of fundamental nutrition principles
Successful track record of business development
Effective listening, communication, and consultative sales skills
Excellent organizational skills, including operating on a 2 week call cycle.
Exceptional customer service skills
Attention to detail
Ability to manage competing priorities
Empathy, judgement, and decision-making ability
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat
Experience in HubSpot CRM
Education and Abilities:
Bachelor’s Degree
