Rainbow Ecoscience (a division of Rainbow Tree Company) is seeking a Territory Manager for the Southern California territory. Your primary responsibility will be identifying targeted clients who do plant health care in the green industry. This position would partner with commercial treecare and landscape maintenance companies, municipalities, and other organizations who manage insects, diseases and plant health on trees and shrubs. This includes all aspects of educating, proposing, and closing sales to existing clients and the cultivation of new customers. The person in this position must be knowledgeable and experienced around diagnosing and managing tree and shrub pest issues, tree and shrub ID, and communicating and training others to achieve success with their PHC programs. Lastly, strong interpersonal skills and a high degree of organization are necessary to manage a large volume of appointments, proposals, and sales follow up in a high-quality manner.

What You Will Do:
Generate leads and deliver meaningful sales demonstrations for prospects and current clients to best serve them in growing their plant health care business with Rainbow products, protocols, and application equipment
Attend and speak at local conferences, meetings, and industry events to create awareness and develop relationships with key influencers in the Treecare and Landscape Maintenance industry
Work within our sales process to ensure that our clients are communicated with frequently and effectively to optimize opportunities
Create a positive client experience by providing top-tier customer service and a consultative selling approach
Provide detailed and accurate estimates to our clients and follow up per sales process, including responding to all RFP’s
Identify new and existing customer opportunities to grow accounts and identify new business opportunities
Document and regularly use and update customer information, sales workflows and sales activities in CRM
Develop and regularly update a working prospect list for the territory
Prepare and deliver PowerPoint presentations and sales presentations that enroll and create opportunities to serve clients
Minimum Qualifications:
Industry sales experience in the tree care and/or landscape maintenance industry
Bachelor of Science in Horticulture, Urban Forestry, Biology, Environmental Science OR equivalent practical experience
Valid Driver’s License
Preferred Qualifications:
Business to Business Sales Experience as a distributor sales representative or manufacturer sales representative?

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Ability to work outside and walk through commercial and residential landscapes while exposed to heat and cold. May be required to bend, reach, stoop, and lift objects; may be exposed to conditions including chemicals, the use of tools, and equipment. Safety precautions must always be followed, including the use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and other safety equipment. You must be able to lift 50 pounds at any given time.
