We need a Portfolio Analyst to join our Business Insights team here at AWE Nuclear Security Technologies.

Location: Hybrid and fully flexible working, with our offices based near Reading at RG7 4PR. You will need to be onsite up to 2-4 days per week on business need.
Salary Range starts at: £38,140 this is very much open to upwards negotiation if you have the skills and experience that we need.

You will be joining the business as it embarks on one of the most complex infrastructure programmes in the country at a pivotal moment in its evolution. The UK government has committed substantial investment into improving our infrastructure, so we are building a talented team to make the most of this opportunity.
As a Portfolio Analyst you will be a member of the Portfolio Management Office, responsible for providing insight, information and support that strengthens portfolio governance and enables the prioritisation of decisions and effective management across the portfolio.
A typical day for a Portfolio Analyst could look like this:
Co-ordinating reporting from programmes and projects
Providing analysis, insight and recommendations to improve performance
Supporting the PMO Service Leads with encouraging commitment to a shared vision and sense of purpose
Ownership of the reporting rhythm and responsible for planning, managing and delivering all reporting requirements across projects and programmes in line with PMO governance
Recognising and tracing interdependencies across the business
Monitoring portfolio risks (threats and opportunities) and escalating as appropriate
Managing and engaging with a wide range of stakeholders
Using programmatic data develop predictive analytics to optimise project performance
We would like you to demonstrate or have experience of:
- Working in a project or programme management office
- Experience of working with complex data sets including a variety of digital reporting and analytical solutions
- Project reporting, cost, planning, governance, risk, or analytical skills
- Managing projects or programmes
We DO need Project Management qualification or equivalent such as:
- Managing Successful Programmes
- Management of Risk
- Managing Portfolios
- APM Project Planning, Monitoring & Control
