Job DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARYThis position supports client and project pursuit activities such as assisting in the development and production of qualifications, proposals, and presentations, as well as coordinating and participating in client events and conferences to help further enhance our image to our clients.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES- Supports individual parts of proposal development: resumes, projects, data collection and coordination, communication with team subcontractors for collecting information, completing spreadsheets according to direction, etc.
- Assists during proposal development and supports the research, writing, editing, formatting, and quality control (QC) of text and graphics for preparation of proposals, Statements of Qualifications (SOQs), presentations, and collaborative marketing materials.
- Performs subcontractor data collection and organization tasks, including contacting subcontractors, outlining requirements, and organizing and distributing information.
- Assists with printing, document review/QC, and production.
- Assists with the archiving of proposal content and uploads to appropriate internal databases or servers as part of proposal closeout procedures in a timely manner and according to Department standards.
- Meets established deadlines for all proposals. May be required to work non-standard hours due to client deadlines.
- Drafts responses to smaller and less complex RFI opportunities.
- Attends proposal meetings, takes notes, and helps maintain and update meeting information on a regular basis and as requested.
- Assists with general Business Development needs, such as updating company registrations, helping develop advertising content, etc.
- Supports activities associated with industry events, including logistics and advertisements.
- Creates and maintains client databases and mailing lists.
- Coordinates and arranges client events, meetings, appointments, and conferences.
- Supports other Business Development initiatives and activities including corporate marketing and "name branding" efforts (i.e., corporate brochures, corporate newsletter distribution, trade show participation, etc.)
- Assists in creating graphics.

POSITION REQUIREMENTSBackground in Business Administration, Marketing, Journalism, Communications, English, or other related discipline as well as familiarity with the RFQ/RFP process is ideal and a minimum of 2-4 years of related experience in the Architecture and Engineering (A E) industry or commensurate experience required. Previous experience in the marine construction industry is a plus. Experience creating graphics is a plus.
- This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can assist Business Development in the proposal delivery process, communicate effectively, manage multiple concurrent initiatives, and thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
In addition, the candidate must have:
- Proficiency using Adobe Creative Suite - especially InDesign, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Microsoft Teams experience is a plus.
- The ability to think outside the box, multi-task, and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage workload.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, both in person and virtually.
- A willingness to learn.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTSThe candidate must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable workplace accommodation.
The individual must also be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment if required to work or visit the jobsite. This may include hard hat, safety glasses, respirators, ear plugs, steel-toed shoes, personal flotation devices, or other equipment as required by the work performed and location the work is being done.
The candidate must possess the ability to remain calm during emergencies and respond appropriately as dictated by the circumstance of the incident and as directed by the Safety Representative or other management personnel. Must be capable of evacuating the work area in a timely manner should an emergency situation arise.
