Job Summary:
PIC Group has an excellent opportunity for a strong Key Account Manager working for an architectural/engineering firm in their Power and Renewables. The Key Account Manager will also collaborate with other Business Units on Nuclear and Minerals & Metals to develop strong relationships and act as a trusted advisor across various client organizations. The Key Account Manager will be required to travel extensively to the companies' facilities and customer locations. In addition to frequent travel, regular office visits to the office in their market will be required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain strong relationships across the client organization and identify other resources who can assist with relationships to build the client communication (zipper) plan.
• Engage as a partner with clients serving as a trusted advisor.
• Understand and influence the client's perception.
• Gather and collect client and market relevant intelligence (projects, trends, strategy, competitors, pricing etc.)
• Identify new opportunities and cross-sell new service offerings into the client organization.
• Understand and document the business environment within the client organization (procurement process, financial stability, politics, terms & conditions etc.)
• Identify and champion industry events and activities to heighten client engagement.
• Serve as the champion for the client.
• Facilitate regular sales meetings and client strategy sessions.
• Own the client account plan maintenance and management.
• Grow the full services of the account (Pipeline and Revenue Stream) and offer innovative value propositions.
• Participate in developing sales targets and drive sales and overall team accountability for success.
• Manage Business Development Budget and Spend.
• Increase awareness of the client's current / ongoing projects and participate in the monthly project reviews (PRR's)
• Align industry engagement spend to clients and their projects.
• Provide CRM specific input into the Power and Renewables strategic and tactical plans.
Job Requirements:
• Excellent technical and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage large scope operations and provide leadership to multiple levels of management.
• Must have business vision, excellent communication skills, and be able to represent the firm effectively to staff, clients, and the community in general.
• Promote high performance and consistent accountability at all levels within the accounts. Professional registration in the field of practice is preferred, if available.
Physical Requirements:
• Office environment with travel to customer sites as required.
• While on site, may require protective equipment (i.e., hard hats, safety glasses, air masks, ear protection, etc.)
Education / Experience:
• Bachelor's degree required
• Management coursework and/or MBA a plus.
• 10+ years of experience with at least 5 of these years in a management position.
