Outside Analytics is hiring a
Senior Manager, Business Development who will have overall responsibility to grow the Outside Analytics capabilities including the business development and capture strategy, planning, and execution. The successful candidate will demonstrate the experience to manage the full scope of business practices including market alignment, business development, opportunity pipeline development and sustainment, client development and management, and proposal development support responsibilities.
Position location is hybrid from OA+SMX Broomfield, Colorado office location.
Responsibilities: - Interacts with senior management, executives, and/or major customers which frequently involves negotiating matters of significance to the organization.
- Participates with senior management to establish strategic plans and objectives.
- Contributes to development of strategies of a function or multi departments.
- Perform market analysis, strategic business planning, capture strategy/solution development, customer engagement and support proposal responses.
- Oversight of customer contact and positioning.
- Management of an opportunity pipeline, forecasting, and capture management.
- Reconciles multiple stakeholder views to drive business results.
- Makes final decisions on implementation and ensures operational effectiveness.
- Directs the activities of a functional area or multiple integrated departments through lower management.
- Effectively cascades functional strategy and contributes to development of organizational policies.
- Collaborate and create synergy between OA and SMX Digital Solutions Group (DSG) and Mission Solutions Group (MSG) Business Development (BD) organizations.
- Teaming interactions and coordination with other internal business development, program management, solution architecture, and growth resources available across the company in the development of winning proposals.
- Program management responsibilities (technical, cost and schedule) for selected programs.
- Travel expectation is 5% per year
Required Skills and Experience: - Clearance Required: None to start
- Candidate must meet requirements needed to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance. Interim or Active DOD Secret clearance or higher is preferred.
- Due to the clearance requirement, U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Candidate also must agree to participate in a background screen.
- 12+ years related experience with a Bachelor's degree.
- 5+ years in a business development role conducting market fit analysis, discovery sessions, and defining product roadmaps to align with company strategic objectives.
- Experience interacting with and briefing senior government and industry acquisition officials.
- Understanding the full business development lifecycle and has been successful in various customer domains within the defense markets.
- Ability to maintain a deep understanding of technical capabilities and offered solutions.
Candidates who have one or more of the following skills will be preferred:
- Detail oriented.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills particularly with customers and internal and external executive leadership.
- Interim or Active DoD SECRET security clearance or higher;
Salary Range: In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $140,000 - $210,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, and education / certifications.
