The Business Development Manager will interface with external and internal stakeholders and is responsible for understanding, influencing, and shaping customer needs and requirements, leading the pursuit to order capture process, developing win strategy recommendation, and formulating solutions to grow the Evacuation Solutions business.
This is an onsite role in Phoenix, AZ. Eligible for relocation. Primary Responsibilities:- Accountability for annual and 5-year new business forecast for assigned accounts as well as maintaining monthly adjusting based on various inputs
- Participates in forecast assignment providing IPT with recommendations based on who forecast was intended for, customer importance/priority and big picture "soft" value driven
- Product manager for aftermarket new product insertion identifying new iterations or features for iterative product improvement. Drives opportunities acting as advocate within the IPT to get them into the NPI cycle. Once complete - assists in market introduction.
- Identification of new business opportunities (prospecting)
- Execution of the Pursuit to Order Capture (POC) process leading to award; key areas of responsibility include development of competitive assessment, Price to Win, and win strategies
- Build and expand relationships. Customer affinity development with key stakeholders and decision makers within the commercial, military and government entities, and potential channel intermediaries such as OEMs, Primes, Integrators
- Anticipate and provide an analysis of competitors' strategy and propose a counter strategy
- Market environment and customer needs assessment
- Support the 5-year strategic and financial planning process
- Support marketing events (tradeshows, industry days, product demonstrations)
- Must be able to provide customer need and competitive assessments to a capture team and work collaboratively with key stakeholders in the U.S. and overseas affiliates
- Create and maintain a network of customer "contacts"
- Contribute to marketing analysis and assessments using standard company tools and techniques available
Qualifications/ Experience Needed:- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
