Job DescriptionThe Area Human Resources Manager for PSG Enterprise Solutions, National Accounts, and Floor covering teams, plans, coordinates, and partners with Leadership in making people-related decisions in every aspect of the employment life cycle. They oversee the recruiting and selection of new staff; support training, performance management, and corrective action processes for employees; partner with Leadership on strategic planning; and develop effective Employee Relations strategies that foster a safe, positive, productive, and engaging work environment. The Area Human Resources Manager ensures the people initiatives are aligned with the goals of the business while driving an inclusive and positive work environment.
ResponsibilitiesCore responsibilities include: - Partner with business leaders to execute Company, Group, and Division initiatives.
- Coach and consult the management team to create an engaging work environment.
- Drive succession planning to ensure the site has a talent bench for key leadership positions.
- Support functional stakeholders to achieve organizational and functional goals.
- In conjunction with leadership, maintain a presence in the field through store visits, training sessions, and participation in Employee Resource Group events and other business initiatives.
- Use data, roundtables, and trends to create a positive employee relations strategy, including creating and executing the annual site engagement action plan
- Provide employee relations support to assigned groups, including investigating, and resolving employee relations issues and concerns.
- Implement policies and procedures and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal law
- Analyze turnover data and make recommendations on retention improvement.
- Partner with the Talent Acquisition Center of Excellence teams and business leaders to recruit and hire qualified talent and ensure alignment with inclusion and diversity initiatives.
- Maintain an effective Affirmative Action Program and ensure compliance
- Conduct thorough and well-documented investigations and provide recommendations for corrective action.
- Partner with business leaders to develop succession plans.
- Support learning and development initiatives and work with business leaders to identify learning opportunities for their teams.
- Lead the performance management process for assigned groups, including reviewing performance appraisals for assigned employees to ensure fairness and consistency.
- Act as the liaison with different departments including Worker's Compensation, Compensation, Employee Relations, Loss Prevention, Leave of Absence, and Benefits, to help resolve employee questions.
- Maintain accurate employee data and records within HRIS, ATS, timekeeping system, and document repositories.
QualificationsPOSITION REQUIREMENTSFORMAL EDUCATION: Required:
- Must have a bachelor's degree or higher or at least four (4) years of work experience in human resources
Preferred:
- Have a bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources, Human Resources Management, Organizational/Industrial Psychology, or Business Management
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required:
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
- Must have at least three (3) years of work experience in human resources
- Must be willing to travel as required for this position
Preferred:
- Have a Professional in Human Resources ("PHR"), Senior Professional in Human Resources ("SPHR"), SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification
- Have prior work experience providing HR support to multiple facilities or locations
- Have prior work experience ensuring compliance with laws and regulations
- Have prior work experience using an HRIS and/or ATS
- Have prior work experience maintaining an Affirmative Action Plan
- Have prior work experience maintaining and analyzing data
- Have prior work experience using timekeeping systems
- Willingness to relocate for future job opportunities
