About This Role
The Accounts Payable Manager provides department leadership managing production of accurate invoice payments, driving successful results, and maintaining an efficient workflow to meet monthly goals and exceed service level agreements. Supporting with a stewardship mindset they promote process improvement, collaboration, and growth among all team members.
What You'll Do
• Manage the Accounts Payable, Agency Invoices and Vendor Payables functions, including team members and day to day operations
• Monitoring department performance through various metrics to provide appropriate direction to team members
• Oversee the accounts payable process from receipt of invoices to payment disbursement, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant accounting standards and regulations
• Manage and reconcile the AP-related general ledger accounts (e.g. trade AP, accrued receipts) and identify and resolve variances
• Ensure current and accurate Standard Operating Procedures exist and are being utilized
• Create, monitor, update, and improve systems, processes, and resources
• Identify opportunities for improvements and implement best practices to streamline accounts payable operations
• Drive process to identify and implement automation capabilities over purchase requisitions and payment approval process flows
• Building and maintaining relationships with employees, vendors, internal and external partners
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive integration of acquisitions into the accounts payable process
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met
• Builds teams through effective employee development, involvement, and communication
• Develop top performers, evaluate performance, provide coaching and appropriate level of feedback.
• Support team expansion, success plans, talent development, and structured performance management for the team based on results, core values, and leadership
What you Bring - Preferred and Required Qualifications
• Required Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or extensive relevant experience in leading high volume transactional processing
• Required 5+ years experience managing and overseeing employees
• Strong accounts payable and accounting knowledge
• Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills, solid critical thinking, and analysis in technical scenarios with a high-level attention to detail
• Ability to identify, understand, and guide emotions in positive ways to empathize with others, overcome challenges, and nurture growth
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including leadership, influencing, and relationship-building
• Able to adapt and be flexible to shifting priorities, managing multiple projects, and leading to achieve effective results in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Excel and Office software
The expected salary range for this position is $84,000 to $104,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position's business line, scope and level.
