Job Description
- Design and build state-of-the-art oligonucleotide synthesizer platforms
- Expertise to integrate platform including liquid handlers, thermocyclers, incubators, plate readers, washers, and a robotic arm
- Collaborate with external vendors to evaluate and select appropriate robotic equipment, instruments, and consumables to support project needs
- Manage timelines, capital purchasing and budgeting objectives for new project
- Collaborate with the Global teams to create automation workflows that advance lab goals
- Program instrument software and methods for automated liquid handling systems including Dynamic Devices Lynx, Tecan, Hamilton, Beckman Coulter (ECHO)
- Experience with Integrating data outputs into a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
- Design, develop, build, deploy, and support custom lab automation and instrumentation solutions
- Perform required maintenance, troubleshoot, and resolve issues that arise with liquid handling equipment and other general laboratory equipment to support automation
Qualifications
- Experience with implementing and maintaining automation solutions inclusive of systems integration and verification
- Partner with the Labs R&D scientist to understand workflows and provide solutions
- Prepare SOP documentation
- Minimum Requirement: 7+ years of technical experience in relevant technical field (industry or academia) with Bachelor's.
- Experience leading and mentoring teams preferred.
