Ads Targeting, Auction and Delivery are the key parts of TikTok online advertising platform - an automatic system that optimizes which ads to display to users and determines how much advertisers should pay for them. The successful candidate will gain an understanding of the data science techniques to power TikTok monetization and drive meaningful improvements in ads targeting and ranking models. Responsibilities - Inform, influence, support, and execute our product decisions through data. - Research applied data science questions in our ads system to improve prediction accuracy, develop data-driven go-to-mark strategies, and drive advertiser value. - Work closely with engineering and product teams to develop hypotheses, run experiments and prototype new product ideas. - Collaborate with data engineering teams to build/maintain reports, dashboards, and metrics to monitor the performance of our products, provide insights and identify new opportunities. - Apply technical expertise with quantitative analysis, experimentation, data mining, and the presentation of data to develop an understanding of the ads targeting/auction/delivery system, analyze current performance and identify opportunities to improve the system.- 5+ years of experience working in an analytics organization, ideally in Tech industry leading companies, especially in the advertising area - Ads or Advertiser or Agency experience - Advanced degree (PhD, MS or BS) in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science or other quantitative fields - Sustained track record of driving business value and improving product with data insights, especially in advertising, growth, marketing or relevant domains. - Experience with ML and statistical knowledge, fluency in Python, SQL, Scala or other programming languages. - Be intellectually curious, a great communicator, data-driven, a fast learner and able to move fast while keeping focused on high impact projects TikTok is committed to creating an inclusive space where employees are valued for their skills, experiences, and unique perspectives.
