Meta is looking for a results-driven Business Development Manager to lead select external partnerships in the field of artificial intelligence. You will work closely with internal Research and Engineering Management teams to identify specific partnering requirements and opportunities, and then proactively work with external partners to enable collaboration to accelerate AI innovations.
Business Development Manager, AI Partnerships Responsibilities
Closely collaborate with AI Research and Engineering teams to identify and prioritize external partnering requirements
Coordinate and drive complex initiatives with select external companies and industry consortiums
Lead a broad internal cross-functional team to formulate, negotiate and execute complex partnership deals
Collaborate with and build a strong relationship with partner's leadership team
Represent partners’ context to internal AI product and engineering team stakeholders and management
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of experience with managing and executing complex deals within technology companies
Experience leading cross-functional teams to orchestrate and complete deals, including experience interpreting legal documents and working with attorneys to complete agreements
Experience in working closely with product and engineering teams
Experience in developing and driving business strategies and initiatives with senior stakeholders
Interpersonal skills and experience developing working relationships inside and outside an immediate team or partner organization
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Base level knowledge of the AI ecosystem including the technology, what large and small companies are doing, industry alliances, and broader government and regulatory positions
Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of AI technology and latest innovations
Proven record in leading “first of its kind” business development deals between two companies
Experience managing and working in a complex cross-functional environment
Proven track record of collaboration and relationship-building with external partners
Experience defining, developing and leading programs in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
