Job Description
As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) at Ridgeline International, you will be pivotal in upholding the quality and reliability of our software solutions. We are looking for an individual who can lead the way in automation and tooling, integrating automated tests into our CI/CD pipeline, and accelerating software delivery by automating manual processes.
What you will do:
- Design, develop, and maintain sophisticated automated test scripts and frameworks, emphasizing the use of Playwright for end-to-end testing.
- Play a key role in integrating automated tests into our continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline, utilizing our on-prem GitLab instance.
- Work collaboratively with software developers and QA analysts to comprehend product specifications and formulate effective testing strategies.
- Identify, document, and report software defects, errors, and inconsistencies, ensuring high-quality outputs and content.
- Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases, focusing on end-to-end testing with Playwright.
- Proactively monitor and report on the progress of test execution and the resolution of defects.
- Drive the automation of current manual processes to enhance the speed and efficiency of software delivery.
- Actively contribute to the continuous enhancement of testing methodologies and processes.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in automated testing tools and strategies.
What You Will Accomplish in the First Six Months:
- Demonstrate leadership in automation and tooling within the team.
- Successfully integrate automated tests into our CI/CD pipeline in our on-prem GitLab instance.
- Significantly expedite software delivery by automating existing manual processes.
Qualifications
Must Haves:
- Proven experience in an SDET role or a similar position.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Typescript, and Java.
- Extensive experience with automated testing tools and frameworks, including Playwright.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools, including Jenkins and GitLab CI.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
Nice to Haves:
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience in performance and security testing.

- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office
