Act as a technical leader of the software engineering team, represent company values, and empower the team to successfully execute software development projects. Define and execute software development plans for software engineers. Use strong communication skills (written and verbal) to work alongside the team to execute software projects using technical experience to make the right decisions. Recruit and hire software engineers. Coach the software engineering team to develop software systems that are highly scalable, highly available, and maintain high quality. Coordinate with Product Managers,Experience Design and other cross functional teams to define roadmap and provide technical feasibility and estimate. Define or improve software development process to ensure team execution in effective manner. Stay up on industry technical trends and provide strategic direction for the team. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, plus 5 years of professional experience as an Engineering Manager, Project Manager, or any occupation/position/job title involving software engineering management. Must also have experience in the following: 3 years of professional experience performing software development (including planning, designing, developing, implementing, testing, and maintaining software systems or applications) and working with multiple engineering areas including product, platform, and data; 3 years of professional experience leading a team of engineers; 3
years of professional experience using industry-leading technology solutions (including React, NextJS, or RestAPI) in UI frameworks, mobile development, and API development; 3 years of professional experience building microservices and Rest APIs using backend technologies (including JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL); and 3 years of professional experience performing Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) to support production.
