Job Description Qualifications:
Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) is seeking a motivated Mid-level Design and Analysis Engineer to support / join the Vertical Lift program/ team located in Ridley Park, PA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for full lifecycle development and integration of the avionics system. Developing, execution and status of team execution to team leadership. Providing solutions to technical integration challenges. Additionally, a strong candidate will have a strong background in electrical design, integration, and troubleshooting. This candidate should also have a strong background in Model Based Systems Engineering Full Lifecycle methodologies and will have a strong Risk Management background. The selected candidate will report to the Mission and Avionics System Design Integration and Test Manager.

Position Responsibilities:
- Will be in support of all aspects of supporting the H-47 Mission and Avionics Systems Team by performing Requirements, Design, Integration and Test activities.
- OT and travel may be required. Nominal travel is less than 10%.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience): (see required education and experience for this level below)
- BS or higher in Electrical Engineering
- 5 or more years’ experience in Avionics Integration (data capture and analysis on 1553, A429 and Ethernet data business architectures).
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):
- Proficient in Fully Lifecycle Avionics Development
- CONOPS (Concept of Operations) Development
- Requirements Management w/ DOORS proficiency
- Electrical Design for an vertical lift aircraft with Mentor Graphics/Capital
- Strong Model Based Systems Engineering skills with a strong preference for strong proficiency with CAMEO
- Operational knowledge of the H-47 Avionics
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
