The Associate Director of Strategy will be a technical strategist that will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between strategy, technology solutions and business objectives, predominantly for Amazon brands. This individual will be charged with delivering technology enablement, while also driving quantifiable, measurable and winning strategies for applications of Movable Ink software. This is an exciting opportunity to influence some of the world's largest brands and most sophisticated marketers on innovative programs. The AD of Media and Technology will join an existing team of Directors and Associate Directors to support accounts in the US, ANZ, EMEA, and APAC, and will play a critical role in our go to market strategy and engagement models.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with Client Experience, Sales and Solutions teams on strategic accounts to develop best in class strategies that drive client’s revenue and performance objectives, while increasing adoption of Movable Ink technology
- Act as a subject matter expert on all topics related to Media & Technology marketing trends to provide informed recommendations
- Devise and manage test plans to measure the incremental impact of strategies
- Leverage a deep understanding of Amazon’s email marketing and mobile messaging platforms to guide implementation strategies effectively
- Develop and maintain technical best practice documentation, and lead technical enablement for Movable Ink Go-to-Market (GTM) teams
- Liaison between GTM, Product, and Solutions teams to deliver best-in-class solutions that deliver ROI
- Consult on the planning, execution, and monitoring of technical implementation projects alongside GTM and Solutions teams
- Identify potential risks and challenges associated with technical implementations, driving Amazon-centric solutions forward
- Support GTM in expanding a network of client champions, and develop and own close relationships with VP level and above client stakeholders; with a particular focus on establishing a partnership with technical and product leaders
- Support GTM in alleviating technical roadblocks in the implementation of MI technology and driving product innovation
- Lead client workshops, support and present at internal and external conferences/events
- Develop thought leadership content to establish yourself as a thought leader in the Media & Technology vertical and to enable internal teams
Requirements:
- 7+ years digital industry experience at a large Media or Technology organization, specifically email marketing/CRM. Mobile marketing experience is a plus!
- Ability to influence enterprise tech investments based on near term and long term business cases
- Possess a deep understanding of Amazon relevant technologies and systems
- Experience navigating large matrixed public companies from the outside, and the tenacity and resourcefulness to overcome challenges, roadblocks and distractions to stay focussed on successful delivery
- Deep strategy experience within Media & Technology, able to identify quantifiable trends across campaigns
- Proven ability to project manage and leverage strong organizational skills
- Manage multiple deadlines and deliverables, as well as the ability to solve technical blockers or delays and escalate accordingly
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, comfortable creating and presenting presentations for senior leadership
The base pay range for this position is $155,000-$163,000/year, which can include additional on-target commission pay/bonus. The base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Stock options and other incentive pay may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, depending on the position ultimately offered.
