Job Description
- Lead the VCS EU SMB Solutions Sales Specialists team, responsible for driving an acceleration in VCS SMB revenue and improving Visa’s SMB solutions and GTM
- Own and lead the development, in partnership with cluster leadership and Visa’s SMB community, the 5-year VCS SMB European vision and capability roadmap, partnering with Global VCS Product and EU Consumer Product to deliver required products
- Act as a deep subject matter expert for VCS SMB solutions, providing specialist knowledge and support to cluster vertical specialists on sales pitches, product rules, operating risks, pricing etc
- Lead VCS SMB solution discovery and co-creation with pan-EU SMB lighthouse clients, and support cluster vertical specialists to do the same with cluster/market clients
- Own GTM, collateral creation, marketing and education of sales community for VCS SMB solutions, ensuring sales community is trained and equipped to sell
- Responsible for collating and feeding back client/ market intelligence to Global VCS Product / Consumer Product to drive core product optimisation and market readiness/ fit
- Partner with other Visa teams e.g Merchant & Acquiring, Tink, Cross-border, Sustainability to bring ‘One Visa’ for SMB to life, delivering long-term SMB solution vision, product pipeline, narrative and acting as VCS lead to co-develop ‘One Visa’ SMB solutions
- Be a key senior member of the European SMB community including representing Visa at external SMB industry events
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
- The successful applicant will have significant experience in SMB payments or SMB banking sales, innovation or propositions roles, ideally with leadership experience
- Deep knowledge of SMB/SME payments and global payment systems
- Strong understanding of the issues and challenges for small businesses, particularly related to cashflow, credit and business management processes
- Strong commercial acumen with the desire to own and drive sales success
- Excellent relationship skills and credibility to work with internal and external peers and more senior stakeholders
- Experience working in a complex multicultural matrix environment and ability to work through change
- A strong degree of self-direction and accountability with focus on delivery
- High orientation towards teamwork, good attitude towards cross functional working
- Fluency in English with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Fluency in another European language viewed favourably
