We develop software for monitoring semiconductor manufacturing process and are looking for individuals with engineering knowledge and passion for programming to maintain and expand our current flagship product. We believe that understanding what one is trying to accomplish (the engineering knowledge) and the understanding how one should accomplish it (coding knowledge) are both essential for creating world class technical products. Job Description:
Maintenance and expansion of a mature, yet ever growing Fault Detection and Classification (FDC) product targeted at semiconductor manufacturing industry. We create over 250 new features a year. The software consists of a single code base used to generate 4 distributed components and some 250 communication DLLs. The software is written in C++ and heavily utilizes threads for asynchronous capabilities. As part of the team you will be required to:
- Learn the software to understand how our customers use it.
- Understand the customer needs and how to translate the requirements into features that extend and not break existing functionality.
- Implement features using C++
- Find and fix bugs
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field
- 5 + years of C++ and/or OO Design and Development experience (Required)
- Experience with application architecture, algorithms, and multi-threading (Required)
- Hands-on team leadership experience
- Strong database experience
- 3+ years’ experience in writing engineering code (nice to have)
- Experience with MFC’s a plus
- Experience working in semiconductor manufacturing company on data acquisition and analysis projects (Nice to Have)

The position will require attention to detail, effective problem solving skills and excellent judgment. Ability to work independently with sensitive and confidential information, maintain a professional demeanor, work as a team member without daily supervision.
Additional Information
For New York, the expected salary range for this position is between $70k to $160k per year. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.
