BR&T is looking for a Space Launch System (SLS) Electrical, Electronic, and Electromechanical (EEE) Parts Engineer that provides support of Integrated Product Teams (IPT's) serving Boeing’s Space Exploration programs, primarily the (SLS), in Huntsville, Alabama. Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Entry, Associate or Mid-Level.
As a member of this team, the engineer will perform detailed NASA manned space requirement compliance assessments against EEE parts requirements for Boeing-delivered hardware, with a focus on requirement verification, hardware anomalies, and testing. The successful candidate will help support EEE parts requirement definition, control, and verification through all stages of hardware development, testing, and sustainment. Daily activities include: working with designers and other technical disciplines for engineering drawing release, production facility support, subcontractor/supplier interface, requirements verification and the preparation of contract deliverables, and hardware anomaly resolution support.
Position Responsibilities:
- Reviews routine product engineering designs for compliance to NASA EEE requirements and provides recommendations and/or technical acceptance rationale when a requirement noncompliance is realized whether in the design, manufacturing, and/or test phase of the hardware lifecycle
- Collects information to support definition of requirements for tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes used in the manufacture and engineering design of products
- Incorporates changes to specifications and other documents to manage the deployment of materials, parts and processes
- Assists with performing tests to qualify new tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes to meet requirements
- Assists with activities to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements
- Assists with activities to support subcontractor deliverable verification, such as reviewing supplier processes, supporting regular supplier interface meetings, and review and approval of supplier contract deliverables
- Conducts basic analysis to determine performance or reasons for failures of tools, materials, parts or processes
- Assists in implementing corrective and preventive actions
- Participates in routine sustaining engineering evaluations
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 2+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in Electrical Engineering
- Experience with EEE Parts on a Space Program
- Experience with Electrical Engineering
- Experience with Electrical Assembly
- Experience with Failure Analysis
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering documents, specifications, and drawings
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate across multiple disciplines with internal and external customers
Typical Education/Experience:
Entry (Level 1):
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Associate (Level 2):
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Mid-Level (Level 3):
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range for Entry Level: $64,600 - $87,400
Summary pay range for Associate Level: $77,350 - $104,650
Summary pay range for Mid-Level: $95,200 - $128,800
