As a Software Engineer (PHP), you’ll work with a team of engineers through challenging development projects. Come join a highly collaborative team of skilled engineers with a passion for quality.
This position can be remote in the United States. Candidates MUST be comfortable working EST hours.
Responsibilities:
- Optimizing monolithic legacy codebases and newer repositories using PHP(Symfony)
- Work in an agile environment with Product Managers in completing user stories and converting complex business rules/workflows from User Story requirements into bespoke Sales Force type CRM applications
- Integrate and design highly scalable/transaction heavy API based applications such as Restful APIs and designing JSON payloads
- Collaborate with full-stack (Front-end/Back-end) team members with projects
- Cooperate with QA and Application Support teams to triage bugs
- Work with large database schemas that would include working with hundreds of tables with millions of rows, stored procedures, views and indexes.
- Write Unit tests and Documentation
Minimum Technical Qualifications:
- 4 years' experience with OOP
- 4 years' experience with PHP
- 4 years' experience with SQL
- 2 years' experience with REST API
- 2 years' experience with Symfony/Frameworks
- 2 years' experience with Redis/Caching
- 4 years' experience with Linux
- 5 years' experience with Git
Preferred Technical Qualifications:
- 2 years' experience with agile, scrum and Atlassian
Required Soft Skills:
- Effective communication skills to explain ideas and processes to others on your team and other departments.
- Ownership over the projects you are working on and be accountable to others on your team.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Ability to collaborate well with other departments such as product management, QA, DevOps, and IT in order to meet strategic goals.
- Be a self-starter who has the drive to see projects completed.
- Be able to think outside the box when approaching challenges and product development.
Benefits:
The annual base salary for the position is $125,000 - $140,000.
