Responsibilities:
Design and Implementation:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess AV requirements and design customized solutions that align with business needs.
- Utilize your extensive experience to engineer AV systems that encompass video conferencing, digital signage, room acoustics, lighting, and more.
- Integrate automation protocols and frameworks to create seamless user experiences and efficient system operation.
Installation and Integration:
- Lead the installation and integration of AV systems, ensuring proper equipment placement, cabling, and setup for optimal performance.
- Configure and calibrate audio and video equipment, including cameras, microphones, displays, and speakers, to deliver exceptional quality.
Automation Expertise:
- Develop and implement automation scripts and routines to streamline AV system startup, shutdown, and operation.
- Integrate AV controls with building automation systems and central management platforms, enhancing energy efficiency and user convenience.
Remote Monitoring and Management:
- Deploy enterprise-level remote monitoring and management tools to oversee the health, performance, and status of AV systems across multiple office locations.
- Provide real-time troubleshooting and proactive maintenance to ensure minimal downtime and uninterrupted user experiences.
Quality Assurance:
- Conduct thorough testing of AV systems to validate their functionality, performance, and interoperability.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address any issues and ensure optimal system performance.
Training and Documentation:
- Train end-users on operating AV systems and automation features, fostering user adoption and proficiency.
- Create comprehensive documentation, including system diagrams, user guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
Stay Current with Technology Trends:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest AV technologies, automation frameworks, and remote monitoring tools, incorporating relevant advancements into your projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Audio Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience designing and installing complex AV systems for office environments.
- Proven expertise in automation scripting and frameworks, such as Crestron, AMX, or Extron.
- Extensive knowledge of video conferencing platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams), codecs, and protocols.
- Experience with remote monitoring and management tools (e.g., Domotz, OvrC, Crestron Fusion, Utelogy, Ninja).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex AV system issues.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and end-users.
- Industry certifications such as CTS, CTS-D, or CTS-I are a plus.
- Ability to adapt to changing technology landscapes and quickly acquire new skills.
