*Your Opportunity + Impact*
The Design Automation Software Engineer is responsible for implementing design automation solutions for our architecture and engineering groups. The position involves working closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to identify and build solutions to automate workflows and repetitive design tasks, leading to greater operational efficiencies, improved project profitability, and freeing up architects and engineers to do higher value work. The Design Automation Software Engineer will work collaboratively with our operational teams, our Digital Practice, and our IT team to design and implement solutions and will assist with support and troubleshooting responsibilities as needed.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Works on cross-functional teams with end users to identify, develop, and implement design automation solutions within LDG Operations.
* Leverages APIs in existing commercial design tools to build design automation solutions.
* Identifies and applies generative Artificial Intelligence technology to design automation solutions.
* Stays abreast of new approaches and software technology that can be applied to design automation and makes recommendations for acquiring relevant new software technology.
* Maintains comprehensive documentation of software solutions built and related operational processes and workflows.
* Participates in project management activities.
*Education and Experience*
* Education: Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field preferred.
* Experience: Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in an enterprise development environment. Experience in the AEC industry preferred.
*Preferred Qualifications*
* Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer.
* Proficiency in both Angular and React frameworks.
* Proven experience with Autodesk software APIs.
* Solid understanding of front-end and back-end technologies.
* Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related web technologies.
* Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
* Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
* Experience working in a .NET environment a plus.
* Programming experience in languages such as Python, C#, and Visual Basic.
* Ability to learn programming new languages quickly.
* Knowledge of containerization and deployment tools.
* Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
