About the team
FIS’ Cloud-Hosted Service has a portfolio of products which cover a range of enterprise level services such as grid-computing, clustered services, load balanced web portals and disaster recovery technologies. Our team of DevOps Engineers’ design and implement infrastructure to support the full suite of products and services in production environments. This includes products hosted in FIS’ Cloud and the public cloud [AWS & Azure].
About the role
As a Cloud DevOps Engineers you will design and Implement DevOps solutions for FIS’ Insurance clients Hosted Services Products. DevOps Architect will be building complex enterprise ecosystems and solving high-level strategic problems. The strategic directions of cloud hosting business architecture are defined by Architecture and Engineering team. It provides an understanding of the technical facilities that are needed for supporting the FIS’ Managed Cloud-Hosted Services.
What you will be doing
Design to reduce the risk of architecture change.
Plan to automate every step involved in implementation phase.
Provision of specifications for defining, managing, and delivering the hosted solution
Collaboration with the build team for ensuring suitable translation of architectural solution into robust and effective implementation.
Work with internal teams to create the migration process of legacy systems to the FIS’ and public cloud.
Overseeing assigned project tasks and guiding the team members.
Documents and publishes appropriate architecture principles and standards, position papers, blueprints, best practices, patterns, and frameworks.
Lead technology direction for multiple projects and led or presented architecture concepts outside realm of immediate workgroup.
What you bring
Minimum of 8 years' experience building solutions and application across multiple technology areas and application stacks.
Five or more years working in public cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
Must have experience using HashiCorp (Terraform),
Other tools: Ansible, Bitbucket, Python, JSON.
Must have Understanding of Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and/or Infrastructure (IaaS) and system design around these concepts.
An understanding of the architectural principles of building on different cloud platforms
Experience with automated deployment, continuous integration, and release engineering tools.
An understanding of security features and tools that cloud vendors provides and how they relate to traditional services.
Knowledge of high availability, load balancing, disaster recovery, and auto-scaling concepts
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (ARM Templates/ Terraform/ CloudFormation).
Experience with Scripting (Powershell, Python, NodeJS, JavaScript etc).
Experience with configuration management (Chef, Ansible, or Puppet).
Good to have:
Professional-level cloud certifications (preferred)
AWS Cloud Services: VPC, IAM, Directory Services, S3, EC2, ELB, Auto Scaling, CloudWatch and CloudTrail, Lambda
AWS and Azure hands-on DevOps Experience
Ability to write IaC terraform scripts
Knowledge in DB migration from on-prem to AWS
