We are seeking a passionate Senior Backend Engineer who will play a crucial part in building our Facebook and Instagram data ingestion pipeline and guide it through a major restructure of components. We value people with curious minds, who have the appetite and energy to solve interesting problems, and who are motivated by the possibility of making a positive difference to the lives of others.
What you'll do:
- Develop our Facebook and Instagram Data Ingestion pipeline, making it more performant, stable and robust.
- Help to build and maintain a system made by multiple teams, while it still shows a unified look and feel to the users.
- Deliver elegant, scalable, self-testing, well-documented code
- Continuously develop yourself, bring new ideas to the team and also learn from your colleagues
What you have:
- Solid knowledge of Java and Spring Framework.
- A thorough understanding of SQL databases.
- Good understanding of containerization systems like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Kafka or similar technology.
- Knowledge of AWS or Google Cloud is a big plus
- English language fluency
