PandaDoc is looking for a Lead Product Marketing Manager for Market & Competitive Insights. As the PandaDoc platform grows and evolves, we need a leader in competitive analysis to continuously assess the competitive environment, help define our differentiators, and provide insights and recommendations to our sales, marketing, product and leadership teams. They will be one of the chief authorities on understanding and evangelizing PandaDoc’s win rate vs. the competition, the drivers of that performance, and opportunities for improvement. This role entails deep collaboration with key internal stakeholders across marketing, product, sales, sales enablement, and executive leadership. Given the company-wide scope of competitive intelligence, this role will report directly to the VP of Product Marketing.
In this role, you will:
- Become the go-to person for marketing, product, sales, and executive teams on competitive insights, to influence Oyster’s product roadmap and strategies
- Synthesize competitor movements into CI newsletter, alerts, and executive reports
- Own recurring analysis and sharing of insights based on our buyer purchasing criteria data
- Contribute to the building of competitive assets and collateral (battlecards, competitive webpages, etc.) that simplify technical and product details, to be easily consumed and appreciated by non-technical audiences
- Lead our win/loss interview program
- Conduct deep technical research on tier 1 competitors using various methodologies including secondary research and recurring secret shopper research
- Monitor competitor activities, events, earnings calls, etc. and distribute synthesized insights with stakeholders on a recurring basis
About you:
- 2+ years in a competitive intelligence role, ideally with sole responsibility for the function; additional product marketing experience a plus
- Deep understanding of SaaS business models, buyers, buying journeys, and common competitive dynamics
- Proven track record of synthesizing signal and insight out of myriad sources of information to drive action among GTM teams and senior leadership
- Expertise and desire to conduct competitive analysis and generate actionable recommendations. Must love research!
- Strong writing skills, including experience crafting competitive messaging for sales teams
- Excellent communications and presentation skills
- Strong project management expertise
