SUMMARY
Selling freight forwarding and transportation logistics services, by performing the duties outlined below
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Develops list of prospective customers by studying business and telephone directories, consulting business associates, and observing business establishments while driving through sales territory. Secure 1-2 new customer accounts per month with weekly activity as well as customers with intermittent shipments.
Develop new business activities with global gross margin result to target in excess over $160k for first year
Cultivates and sells transportation solutions to new and existing customers; maintains territory records and customer activity as defined by the company; reports competitive information to management in a complete and timely manner Calls on prospects to explain features, costs and advantages of the company's various services.
Adheres to performance standards for the position as defined by management including, but not limited to:
- Minimum 1O Sales calls per week
- Generate minimum 12 Qualified Sales leads generated per month
- Pre-planned weekly and monthly itinerary each week/month for distribution to Bollore Network
- Input weekly activities into CRM tool (Concerto) for manager review
- Prepare and distribute communications reports for sales and branch management
- Maintain regular contact with existing client base
- Achieve volume on Gross Margin goals and objectives for territory as directed
Requirements
Responds to customer needs and expectations which require coordination with other departments in a professional and ethical manner consistent with company policy, always maintaining confidentiality of sensitive company information.
Report to office min 1x/wk (typically Mon or Fri) per the following schedule.
a. Meeting with office personnel and Branch Manager and/or VP Sales & Marketing on new and potential business being secured
b. Update Concerto: all records and appointments.
c. Presents branch manager and VP Sales with weekly forecast on appointments for the upcoming week for review by the end of day
Coordinates all the quoting for new customers through the proper department, with a copy to the Operations Manager, Branch Manager and/or VP Sales & Marketing.
Provides a copy of all email correspondence with customers to the Operations Manager, Branch Manager and the person with in that department (communication is essential between customer/sales/department person) who takes care of this new customer.
Designs and conducts presentations for external and internal customers. Conducts QBR's with existing clients
Deals with unresolved situations and frequent changes, delays or unexpected events. Confers with customers and company officials to resolve complaints.
Review orders for ideas to expand services available to present customers. Writes orders and schedules initiation of services.
Monitor Accounts Receivable and collects payments on past due accounts.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Must have International experience , min four years related industry experience and/or training. Proven track record of sales success. BS/BA preferred
