Material Security is looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer to support our enterprise customers,, in this role you will be at the nexus between our customers and our engineering, product, and design teams. You'll work cross-functionally in order to provide technical education, guidance, and support in a pre-sales capacity.
Responsibilities
- Craft technical content to guide customers in implementing specific use cases or extending our solution
- Collaborate with account teams to understand customer requirements and translate them to Material Security capabilities, emphasizing business value
- Lead discussions and product demonstrations to showcase capabilities; address customer challenges, respond to questions, and handle objections
- Support Proof of Concepts (POCs) that align with customer requirements; provide technical expertise, troubleshooting, and guidance throughout the evaluation process
- Provide guidance on integrating solutions into the customer's existing infrastructure
- Distill and communicate customer needs and product feedback to Product Management, Engineering, Marketing and Sales
- Collaborate with Customer Success to drive post-sales revenue, ensure retention, and contribute to growth
- Execute cross-functional projects involving Engineering, Sales, Partnerships, and IT/Security
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of experience in a customer facing, pre-sales role in a B2B SaaS environment
- Hands-on experience working with Enterprise customers in the security or related space
- Domain expertise in security, cloud email, IT, Google/Office 365, SSO, etc.).
- Experience working with REST APIs and SDKs
- Demonstrated understanding of the product space and experience working with product and design teams to design, build, and enhance the best user experiences.
- Ability to multitask and efficiently handle multiple competing priorities, delegating when necessary while being highly organized, detail oriented, and demonstrating excellent time management skills.
- Empathetic mindset for the customer and a commitment to delving deep into the challenges they present or experience
- Ability to work cross-functionally and contribute directly to Sales, Product and Engineering teams
- Ability and desire to learn new tools and technologies
- Experience with email security, DLP and both front-end & back-end coding languages is a plus
Material Security is a remote-first workplace with an office in Redwood City, California.
Compensation at Material Security is determined by a range of factors, including but not limited to the individual’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $153,000 to $260,000. The projected salary range is just one component of Material Security’s total compensation package for employees.
