Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to be in a key role that collaborates with the BUs and our foundry suppliers to deliver supply chain sourcing excellence for Intel External Manufacturing. As part of External Manufacturing Sourcing, the Foundry Sourcing team manages the outsourcing of Intel foundry businesses, and facilitates One Voice, responsible for the overall performance of the external foundry suppliers.
The group partners with the external ecosystem, internal design team, and business units to develop sourcing and supply chain solutions to enable Intel products. The Sourcing Manager will ensure the foundry supply chain meets Intel technology, product, supply, and cost roadmap. The role is also responsible to manage the overall foundry sourcing plan and will play a key leadership role in leading a coordinating the commercial negotiating, contracting activities for Intel.
The Foundry Sourcing Manager will be responsible for but not limited to:
Sourcing strategy and execution: Proactively partner with business units (BU) and BU Account Team to deliver external manufacturing supply chain solutions aligned with multi-generational product roadmaps. This includes identifying and shaping the sourcing strategies and engaging in the supplier evaluation for new opportunities.

Commercial negotiations and contracting: Assess new business opportunities with the supplier based on Intel roadmap and develop a sourcing strategy. Drive commercial negotiation with the supplier to ensure the best sourcing for Intel.
Manage the disciplined process of documenting contracts through Intel business practices. Ownership of the contractual framework with the supplier and its compliance with Intel legal and business requirements (including IP protection).
Meet regulatory requirements through contracting and through management oversight (for example export license for engineering and production). Develop deep supplier knowledge: Know the supplier, their culture, vision/mission, market positioning, financial positioning, RD trend and technology roadmap synergies, executive body strength, and expertise, maintain a solid relationship with C-level executives and two levels down (including BU and fab General Managers), structural cost understanding, manufacturing operations, and supply chain understanding internal dynamics (example business processes, decision forums, approvals).
Executive Engagement: Proactively shape and orchestrate foundry-related sourcing information digestible at all levels of the company. Prepare and present external foundry sourcing deliverables to a variety of executive forums with effective and efficient orchestration of communication packages.
Leadership: Coach and grow Intel account team resources. Set the vision and direction for the commercial, supply operations teams.
Complex Strategic Sourcing: Developing and executing complex long-range sourcing programs. Partner with internal partners (BU, Finance, Legal, etc.) and orchestrate complex contracting commensurate with the strategic plans. A clear understanding of internal processes and compliance as we navigate through the complexities will be preferred.
Supplier Management: Influence suppliers with leadership status in the industry. Establish a relationship and navigate engagement with the supplier, influencing the executive level to drive Intel agenda.
Agility: Adapt and swiftly respond to changes in the business environment.
Orchestration Skills: Proactively shape and orchestrate foundry-related sourcing information digestible at all levels of the company. Prepare and present external foundry sourcing deliverables to a variety of executive forums with effective and efficient orchestration of communication packages.
Business acumen on worldwide foundry: Comprehend the competitive foundry landscape, technology trends, strategic threats, and opportunities for the external foundries and how the foundries can compete in and benefit from key business and growth segments. Foundry supplier knowledge and experience in business aspects (SWOT, culture, vision/mission, financial positioning, market position, technology roadmap, executive body strength and expertise, negotiation tactics).
Business management and data analysis for product and negotiation strategy development.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. This position is not eligible for Intel Immigration sponsorship.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operation Management, STEM or related field of study.
9+ years in one or more of the following:
Working in a fabless environment, with external manufacturing or foundry suppliers.
Semiconductor supplier account management experience
Foundry capacity / NPI planning, supply chain management.
Microsoft Windows and Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA degree, MS/PhD in STEM and science majors
12+ years of foundry manufacturing operations experience
12+ years of contract negotiations and development experience.
12+ years of fabless wafer supplier management experience.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $127,260.00-$203,620.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience
Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
