The Sales Engineer at Wind River will partner with the Sales team to provide technical product support to SaaS partners and prospects during the pre-sale, implementation, and ongoing support processes. The ideal candidate will be able to clearly articulate technical concepts to current and prospective clients, as well as internal and external engineers, designers, suppliers, and team members.
Primary Responsibilities
Understanding and explaining product features and functionality
Identifying and providing solutions for customer product needs
Consulting on product development
Participating in sales meetings and presentations of technical product information
Serving as in internal resource for product support
Requirements
3+ years of product sales engineer experience, preferably with a software company
Knowledge of software integration and understanding of the needs of customer software developers.
Hands-on experience with API integration, including ability to develop, script and understand code
Analytical ability with strong problem solving skills
Good business acumen and understanding of sales process
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to develop and maintain successful working relationships
