Job Description: This role is responsible for ensuring compliant with the IFRS 16 lease accounting standard.
Responsibilities
- This role will revolve around maintaining inventory of active lease agreements for which
is the lessee using the Lease 16 Lease Tool. This responsibility is critical to ensuring
compliance with IFRS 16.
- This role will be responsible for reconciling and updating the Lease 16 Lease Tool each month
using information obtained from various internal and external sources.
- This role will ensure that all information contained in the Lease 16 Lease Tool is accurate,
complete and compliant with the Leasing SOP.
- This role will perform the monthly IFRS 16 journal entry extract from the Lease 16 Lease Tool and
submit it for posting in SAP.
- This role will need to address any audit requests when needed, this includes the generation of
various data reports and extracts from the Lease 16 Lease Tool.
Education
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and at least 3 years of public accounting experience or private
industry accounting experience with a large multi-national company
Hard Skills
• Minimum of one to two years of public/private experience
• Must be technically proficient with the IFRS 16 / ASC 842 lease accounting standard
• Must be able to read and comprehend complex lease agreements
• Must be detail oriented and have strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Must be able to multi-task under pressure
• Must be able to think critically and strategically
• Must be able to proactively identify / anticipate complex problems, develop solutions and take
decisive action
• Must be self sufficient
• Must have the mental fortitude to work in a very dynamic and environment

• Experience with SAP ERP system.
