Job Title: Affiliate Manager – Travel Industry
Location: Remote with weekly in-person meetings in Scotland
Job Type: Part-time (18 hours per week) with potential for full-time after a 3-month probation period

You’ll have the opportunity to play a key role in expanding our network of partners within the travel industry.
Job Overview:
As our Affiliate Manager, you will be responsible for growing our affiliate network by identifying and recruiting new partners, such as hotels, tour operators, and travel agents. You’ll manage our existing partner portfolio, engage regularly to nurture relationships, and set up meetings to explore further collaboration. Additionally, you’ll strategise ways to optimise affiliate performance, ensuring that both Unbaggaged and our partners benefit from a successful partnership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and Recruit New Affiliates:
- Proactively seek out potential partners in the travel industry, including hotels, tour operators, and travel agents, driving them to join our affiliate partnership program.
- Manage and Develop Affiliate Relationships:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing partners, such as property owners, tourist groups, and other travel affiliates, to maximise collaboration opportunities.
- Coordinate Meetings and Communication:
- Regularly engage with partners via phone, email, and meetings (both in-person and online) to discuss opportunities, provide support, and strengthen relationships.
- Monitor and Analyse Affiliate Performance:
- Track and assess affiliate performance, providing insights and recommendations to improve results and achieve targets.
- Collaborate with Internal Teams:
- Work closely with our marketing team to align strategies and maximise the effectiveness of affiliate partnerships.
- Stay Informed on Industry Trends:
- Stay up-to-date with travel industry trends, including market dynamics and competitor activity, to identify new partnership opportunities.
- Prepare Reports and Presentations:
- Regularly prepare reports on affiliate performance, partnership growth, and new opportunities for management review.
- Utilise CRM and Management Tools:
- Leverage CRM and other management tools to organise and streamline your workflow.
Requirements:
- Experience in the Travel Industry:
- 2-5 years of experience in the travel industry, business development, or a similar role within the sector.
- Strong Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with partners.
- Sales and Negotiation Skills:
- Proven ability to negotiate deals, close partnerships, and handle objections effectively.
- Analytical Mindset:
- Strong analytical skills to assess performance data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Self-Motivated and Results-Driven:
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Personable and Approachable:
- A friendly and approachable demeanour to build strong relationships with various partners, from property owners to tourist groups.
- Passion for Travel:
- A genuine interest in the travel industry and an understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities it presents.
- Willingness to Travel:
- Flexibility to travel to different cities as required.
