Serving as a member of the International Education department, the Coordinator of International Education will coordinate various international student programs and initiatives, support daily department operations, and contribute to the growth of long-term VISA students by actively participating in various student recruitment efforts.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
- Assist the Administrator of International Education by coordinating various modes of follow-up communication with international agents following promotional meetings, agent conferences and recruitment events.
- Collaborate with elementary and secondary school staff to ensure support of long-term students, while also providing support to school staff when hosting a short-term group.
- Lead and develop innovative ideas and initiatives for the short-term integration program to establish our school district as a leader in the field.
- Supervise International Program Assistants and International Program English Instructors for short-term programs as directed by the Administrator of International Education.
- Coordinate visits from various stakeholders, such as international guests, agents, students and chaperones attending or interested in attending Niagara Catholic programs.
- Recommend and provide enhancements for student recruitment initiatives.
- Provide support with marketing strategies, which result in an increase of long-term VISA students and the continuity of short-term groups attending our program.
- Implement an international student club offering various activities, field trips and other opportunities for student engagement.
- Supervise daily operations of the International Education department by monitoring all student activities off-campus, including residence accommodation, Niagara Catholic school spaces and/or other secondary facilities utilized throughout the year.
- Provide oversight to Administrative Assistant and secretarial staff as needed.
- May be required to work or be on-call some evenings and weekends, especially while hosting short-term groups.
- May be required to travel to represent Niagara Catholic at relevant events.
- Must have access to reliable transportation at all times and be able to lift and transport educational materials between locations.
- May be called to perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Completion of a university degree or college diploma. A degree in Education, Linguistics, TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language), Business, Commerce, Marketing, Recreational Studies and/or Events Planning diploma is preferred.
- Experience in K-12 sector is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to address large groups of students, agents and international educators.
- Exceptional time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to speak a second language (Spanish, French, Mandarin, other) considered an asset.
- Experience in international education sector considered an asset.
This is a part time, permanent position.
HOURS: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (25 hours per week). Some occasional after-hours work may be required.
