The Junior Security Analyst will understand our client's Information Security documentation library and ensure that process and policy documentation are regularly updated to reflect the latest operational processes and audit requirements.
Junior Security Analyst Responsibilities:
- Work with External Auditors and Clients to review our clients s Information Security policies, standards and procedures through security questionnaires and meetings (Virtual and In-Office)
- Communicate Information Security Awareness to new colleagues through new hire onboarding training covering the key components of Information Security
- Provide analytical support as needed for security monitoring (SIEM), vulnerability management and security assessments
- Supports the analysis of underlying network threats and action plans associated with information security projects
- Assist with internal team tasks, including User Access Reviews, Evidence Collection for Audits and internal security request monitoring
Junior Security Analyst Requirements:
- Knowledge of information security, compliance, audit and/or other security best practices and principles
- Firm understanding of computer networks, computer operating systems and associated technology components
- Strong work prioritization, planning and organizational skills
- Learns and applies new technologies and techniques. Keeps up to date on current research and technology in the industry
- Demonstrates analytical thinking, problem-solving, and adaptive communication
- Ability to learn and deep dive into new technology and business domains, question the status quo, and think outside the box
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent training/certification or relevant work experience
- Excellent communication skills when working with auditors and clients
- Excellent time management skills when working with multiple audits and customer requests
- Experience understanding and communicating Information Security Policies
- 1+ years of experience in one or more: security operations, security audit or security architecture
