THE ROLE
The Accounting Coordinator will provide essential support to our finance and operations teams, managing daily accounting tasks and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations. Reporting to the Revenue Controller, this role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
• Process vendor invoices, expense reports, and payments accurately and timely.
• Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and communicate with vendors as needed.
• Generate and send invoices to customers and proactively manage accounts receivable aging, following up on overdue accounts.
General Ledger Reconciliation:
• Reconcile inventory, credit card accounts, and other balance sheet accounts monthly.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded and deadlines are met.
Administrative Support:
• Provide organized and efficient administrative support to the finance department, ensuring all financial records and filing systems are maintained accurately and securely.
• Assist with special projects and other accounting-related tasks as needed.
Collaboration & Communication:
• Collaborate with operations, billing and customer service teams to ensure seamless and accurate recognition of revenue.
• Communicate with customers and vendors as needed to resolve any revenue-related issues.
THE PERSON
• Experience: 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably within a high-growth environment. Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; or equivalent experience in a related role.
• Skills: Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Attributes: Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Growth Mindset: A proactive approach with a desire to learn and grow within a dynamic company, with opportunities to advance to Staff Accountant or Senior Revenue Accountant roles.
