The role
The Global Partnerships Director will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing strategic partnerships that align with our company's goals and objectives. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of building and maintaining relationships that drive business growth and delivering strategic projects that are fundamental to the business’ growth objectives and enhance our market position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Identify and Evaluate Opportunities: Research and identify potential partners that align with our business objectives and growth strategy. Work closely with Product team leadership and innovation growth stream on what areas could benefit from partners vs. what is being developed in house.
- Develop Partnership Strategies: Create and implement partnership strategies that drive business development, enhance brand visibility, and expand market reach.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key partners. Act as the primary point of contact and liaison between partners and internal teams.
- Negotiate Agreements: Lead negotiations to establish mutually beneficial agreements and contracts with partners.
- Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with marketing, sales, product development, and other departments to ensure partnerships are effectively integrated and supported.
- Performance Tracking and Reporting: Monitor and report on the performance of partnerships, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and risks.
- Event Participation: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings to promote partnership opportunities and network with potential partners.
About you
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, International Relations, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree would be beneficial
- Significant experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or related roles, with a focus on international markets.
- Proven track record of successfully developing and managing global partnerships.
- Clear and concise written and spoken communication skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work on own initiative, handle pressure appropriately and make day to day effective decisions
- A natural ability to multi-task and problem solve, able to prioritise workload based on strategic and tactical business priorities; able to deliver results consistently on-time and within budget
- Able to manage sensitive issues confidentially and with sound judgement
- An international mind-set and ability to build cross border relationships and business operations/processes; able to work effectively in a matrixed environment
- Delivery focused with a passion for quality and innovation, a flexible and adaptable attitude and willing to accept and drive change
- High level of corporate awareness and business acumen, able to understand the wider business context and demonstrate a commitment to cross-organisational activities

- Ability to present written information in a structured and balanced way appropriate to the needs of the reader
- A consummate communicator, both written and verbal, you are able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

- Very organised with excellent attention to detail.
