Grafana Labs is seeking a Governance, Compliance and Contracts Manager to join our dedicated, collaborative, and fast-growing legal team. The primary responsibility of the Governance,Compliance and Contracts Manager will be to support our global compliance and governance initiatives, and to support certain commercial contract negotiations and processes.
The successful candidate will be an organized, detailed and analytical thinker who embraces a business-oriented approach and is excited to help with a wide range of legal projects. The successful candidate will have the ability to think strategically and establish a trusted partner relationship with the legal team.Â
Responsibilities:Â
Governance & Compliance
- Assist the legal team in delivering high-quality governance support across a wide range of matters to assist the business in meeting its global compliance obligations and achieving its various global entity objectives.Â
- Develop new and enhance existing governance policies, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Support the entire lifecycle of Board and Committee meetings, covering scheduling, coordinating and reviewing inputs, crafting agendas, and efficiently managing action items.
- Drive initiatives to streamline and enhance governance processes, fostering transparency and accountability within the organization.
- Oversee and support international subsidiary governance matters.
- Support corporate transactions, such as M&A and financings, through partnership with the broader corporate legal team and cross-functionally with the finance, corporate development and HR teams.
Contract Support
- Assist in the negotiation of NDAs, Master Service Agreements, and various vendor agreements as needed.Â
- Support the contracting process throughout the entire contract lifecycle from initial request to execution.
- Support the improvement of playbooks and form templates.
- Provide great client service and have the ability to escalate appropriately where required.
Requirements:Â
- Located in North America.
- Hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- A professional with 4+ years of compliance program management, legal, transactional paralegal, governance, audit, or equivalent experience.
- Experienced in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating standard commercial contracts (SaaS experience is a plus).
- An excellent communicator and able to partner well with colleagues on the finance, legal, and people teams.
- Experienced with high growth private companies.
- Interested in working for a dynamic and agile technology business and excited to be part of a growing team.
- Organized and efficient with your time and tasks.
- Someone with a good sense of humor who enjoys collaborating with colleagues and working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
In the US, the Base compensation range for this role is $105,000 - $126,000. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset as assessed in the interview process. Benefits include equity, bonus (if applicable) and other benefits listed here.
