We collaborate closely with Talent, Finance, Legal, IT, Operations, and the People Partnering Team. We work regularly together as part of our global Operations Support (O/S) department, supporting our Tech team in building the future of scalable, unstoppable and cutting-edge technologies for the decentralised Web. About the position: Manage core People Operations areas such as onboarding, payroll, document and contract creation, employee data management, and absence tracking. Review and refine our processes, and oversee the execution of tasks in these areas for our German entity. Stay informed about new laws and trends in HR in Germany to ensure that Parity s processes and policies remain up-to-date. Coordinate ongoingly with external consultants, government offices, and service providers on topics such as employment law, social security, immigration, and payroll. Work closely with the legal department to coordinate new policies and procedures, and assist with work permits and visas for any foreign employees/candidates. Act as a contact person for Germany-based team members. Manage employee departures, including preparing employee separation notices and related documentation; provide periodic reports to the company s Leadership. Understand employee sentiment at our German entity, escalating issues and enabling the teams for success. Support our People Team in other entities (UK, Portugal, Switzerland, Singapore) as needed. Initiate and deliver on exciting new People Operations projects. Recommend process improvements and identify areas where we can automate tasks. Support the management of our team s Helpdesk. Facilitate effective and positive resolution of employee issues, displaying a genuine interest and respect for people and their concerns. Performs other duties as assigned. About you: 3-5 Years experience in HR/People Operations in Germany. Understanding of international human resources principles and practices (compensation, employment/labour law, tax and compliance, etc). Excellent written, and verbal communication, and strong interpersonal skills. Fluent in German (C1). Proven ability to handle multiple projects, prepare reports and meet deadlines. Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions. Creative, flexible, and innovative team player. Capable of operating autonomously while dealing with a changing and restructuring environment. Familiarity with HR tech stack - you can navigate through an HRIS and other platforms. We use Humaans, CultureAmp, Notion, MS Office, Datev and Google Suite.
