We are adding new positions due to growth.The schedule for this opening is 0.6 FTE (48 hours per two weeks) on the Overnight Shift. We have a required every other weekend rotation. Our training shifts are variable including days, mid-shift, evenings, and weekends.Following training, we work remotely. The work from home location is required to be within driving distance from Midway Corporate Campus in Saint Paul.Responsibilities/Job DescriptionAs RN Advisors, we independently triage calls from patients inquiring about their symptoms, medication refills, test results, and information regarding our facilities. We handle approximately 6 calls per hour with calls lasting 6-9 minutes in duration. We are advocates, assisting callers through the health care system.Responsibilities include:
* Demonstrate knowledge and expertise in triaging callers properly such that all callers receive a timely and appropriate response.
* Focus on callers, maintain a professional demeanor, and continuously implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction.
* Collect information regarding concerns, medical history and description of symptoms via the telephone using the nursing process.
* Use symptom-based protocols to systematically assess, address needs and provide education.
* Prioritize calls based on patients needs.QualificationsAn Associate Degree in Nursing along with experience of 3 or more years is required for the Advisor position. We require a current MN RN License; a WI RN License is also required, but may be obtained within the first 120 days of hire. We prefer candidates with Triage, instructing, mentor or preceptor experience. We find it's useful to have skills with computers and electronic medical records, along with multiple phone line systems.
