Salesforce Business Analyst
Role:
The Salesforce Business Analyst is a full-time role that acts as a liaison between the business and the tech team in deeply understanding Salesforce functionalities and complex business processes. They will be responsible for gathering and understanding business requirements, process mapping, and working in conjunction with our Salesforce Development team to put together solutions that follow Salesforce best practices while satisfying the needs of our stakeholders.
As a Salesforce Business Analyst with Cars Commerce, you will gain exposure to a wide variety of teams and their processes including Sales, Service, Support, Marketing, and Fulfillment to identify business challenges and design solutions to solve them proactively. The ideal candidate is able to display critical thinking skills, interpret information, and apply solid judgment in decision-making. This role will fall within a team of Salesforce Business Analysts, Salesforce Administrators, and Salesforce Developers who work together to design and implement solutions that support business goals. Responsibilities:
Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into functional requirements for Salesforce.
- Conduct research, analyze data, and create process maps to identify areas for improvement in Salesforce processes.
- Translate aligned requirements and solution recommendations into technical requirements that adhere to best practices to optimize system performance and satisfy business needs
- Create and maintain documentation related to Salesforce processes, functional requirements, and solution design.
- Create user stories for the sprint team and participate in backlog grooming.
- Facilitate meetings and workshops with stakeholders and project teams to gather requirements, and discuss solution designs for planned or unplanned work.
- Develop As-Is / To-Be process mapping as part of communicating changes to the system.
- Assist in orchestration of user acceptance testing (UAT) ensure a successful deployment of Salesforce solutions.
- Collaborate with the rest of the Salesforce CRM team to provide day to day support.
- Comply with and ensure compliance of security/IT General Control policies in relation to Salesforce per standard operations within a publicly-traded organization
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 3 years experience gathering, analyzing, and translating business requirements into functional requirements for Salesforce solutions.
- Skilled in self managing workload and switching priorities to meet deadlines or changing business needs.
- Firm understanding of process improvement (Identifying/measuring opportunities for improvement, planning changes, implementing changes, controlling for sustained results).
- Experienced in both planned and ad-hoc problem solving with decisive results to demonstrate (ex. X project that resulted in Y hours saved).
- Demonstrate stakeholder management skills (effective communication, expectation setting, delivering demos etc.).
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent education and experience
- Agile and Kanban experience a plus
- Atlassian suite and LucidChart or experience with similar tools is a plus
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce Lightning interface
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on Salesforce experience
- Preferred expertise in Revenue Cloud
- Familiarity with triggers, classes, custom settings, and flow
- Advanced Salesforce Admin Skills (Per ADM-211)
- Understanding of more advanced functionality and limits in Salesforce Sales Cloud from a consultant's perspective (Per CRT-251 and CRT-261) to provide more strategic recommendations.
