Microsoft Advertising (MSA) empowers advertisers around the world to reach their maximum potential through online marketing opportunities on the Microsoft Advertising platform. We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to drive Microsoft Advertising revenue growth (with a focus on Search and Native Ads), develop exceptional client relationships and deliver client obsession through direct management of a group of Account Executives and Account Managers.
The individual in this role will bring deep media sales experience, strategic thinking, client obsession, a passion for innovation and best-practice sharing, while showing they can deliver exceptional results over time. The Sales Manager should have a proven track record of building, managing and growing high-performing sales teams. This is a unique opportunity for someone looking to build a brand new team with an evolving sales motion, where the Sales Manager will work closely with internal stakeholders to measure results and iterate on the model at key milestones in the process. Required/Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering (e.g., Electrical or Mechanical), Business Management, Economics, or related field AND 4+ years experience in sales, marketing/advertising, managing high performance sales and technical-sales teams, and/or leadership roles in multi-tiered large organizations
OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering (e.g., Electrical or Mechanical), Business Management, Economics, or related field AND 3+ years experience in sales, marketing/advertising, managing high performance sales and technical-sales teams, and/or leadership roles in multi-tiered large organizations
OR equivalent experience.
- 1+ year(s) direct/formal, indirect/informal, and/or project team people management experience
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, or technology related field AND 12+ years of experience in Sales, Advertising, or Marketing and/or driving business growth or customer digital transformation, sales management, or leadership
- OR Master's Degree in Business Administration degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field AND 8+ years of experience in Sales, Advertising, or Marketing and/or driving business growth or customer digital transformation, sales management, or leadership
- OR equivalent experience.
- 4+ years experience in a global technology company
Sales Management M4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,100 - $185,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $144,000 - $203,500 per year.
