As a Citi Wealth at Work (WaW) Banking & Treasury Management Specialist, you will work closely with Wealth Banker teams within your designated coverage area to assist in generating new business from existing and prospective clients. Responsibilities include consulting with clients, understanding their needs and delivering integrated banking, treasury management and deposit product solutions. This individual will partner closely with the Wealth Banking teams as well as directly with clients in a product sales capacity. Excellent consultative skills and product knowledge of deposits and treasury management are required, with a high degree of professionalism at all times. Additionally, candidate will work closely with investment and lending product partners in addition to the wider Deposits team on a regular basis.
Objectives/Fundamental Responsibilities:
- Provide banking & treasury management product support to wealth banking teams within your coverage area to drive new banking and treasury management business from prospective Law Firm clients and Claims and Settlement administrators.
- Directly interface with stakeholders such as CFO, CEO, Controller, Treasurer & Accounting Staff
- Understand & evaluate clients’ business needs by employing a consultative sales approach to determine their requirements and recommend solutions
- Drive meaningful discussions with clients with goal of solutioning treasury management and banking needs
- Full engagement & execution on all strategic business development initiatives
- Nurture and deepen existing Wealth at Work client relationships
- Conduct wealth team portfolio and client relationship reviews to generate new business
- Prepare and present competitor statement analyses and product proposals
- Ongoing travel to Wealth at Work offices within your designated coverage area
- Support the proposal & RFP bidding process
- Proactively keep Wealth teams and clients abreast of new products, enhancements and industry insights
- Create and maintain a solid working relationship with the overall Deposits team, product partners and colleagues across Citi businesses
Qualifications:
- Possess a minimum of 10 years of cash management, banking and client facing experience
- B.A./B.S.(required)
- Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation (a plus)
- Have knowledge of Treasury Management products, banking & the client sales cycle
- Treasury management experience with Law Firms and settlement administrators (a plus)
- Knowledge of and ability to structure and position deposit solutions
- Awareness of Private Banking/Wealth (preferable but not required)
- High degree of professionalism
- Strong written, listening & verbal communication skills
- Excellent consultative selling & negotiation ability
- Attention to detail and consistent follow-up skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, internet applications & pipeline reporting systems
