The Business Development Rep (NCA) team plays an important front-line role within our Sales Organization. Responsible for prospecting into high propensity new logo accounts. You will be part of a dedicated account team to drive qualified sales opportunities through the early stages of the sales cycle. You will use a CRM, sales acceleration platforms and cadences, and prospecting tools to focus on generating pipeline in one of our core lines of business: Sales and Marketing, Finance, Third-Party Risk, or Education. Each BDR receives outstanding sales and product training. Outbound Sales Development is an excellent opportunity to learn our business, our sales cycle, how to position our solutions, and ultimately progress into a closing sales role.
Essential Key Responsibilities
- Complete the required amount of outbound calls on a daily basis to qualify prospects and schedule appointments for your dedicated Sales Reps to close.
- Collaborate with your sales partners to identify accounts and prospects that have a propensity to buy, then act on this information using the resources at hand.
- Hunt new prospective accounts and contacts to qualify a lead through the earliest stages of the sales cycle process.
- Ask questions to uncover a customer’s need, authority, urgency, and ability to purchase and position D&B’s value against those needs.
- Actively manage time with an emphasis on daily prospecting, activities, and learning & development.
Education and Experience
- Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred with 2 years of relevant experience.
Additional Skills and/or Certifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
- 1 year of high-value, business-to-business, solution sales experience is required.
- Sales training and Salesforce experience a plus.
- SaaS experience preferred.
- Positive “can do” attitude, sense of urgency and strong desire to be successful.
- Ability to operate in a high velocity, metrics driven sales organization.
- Strong phone presence with active listening, negotiation and closing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Proficient with standard corporate productivity tools (email, voicemail, MS Office, LinkedIn)
- Ability to quickly adopt sales related technologies.
